Very tasty food for a good price, friendly staff.

Delicious and reasonably priced! It was awesome to see the bread made right in front of us! Super fresh and fluffy. The sesame seed falafel was a generous appetizer for 3, given that we already ordered the small size mixed appetizer to share. Like how the falafels were crusted with coriander seed. So earthy! The service was very good too!Their rice was perfectly cooked - al dente. But I was hoping the lamb and okra dish ( the one shown on the menu photo with tomatoes and bell pepper on top) was a little bit less salty, and cook longer time with the tomato based sauce so it is less acidic.

Food is excellent but for toilet need to go upstairs which is very bad plus also wash basin also on top instead on ground floor.

Amazing Egyptian dishes served hot and yummy... I really like the food and the opportunity of having a shisha at the same time. Location is amazing and the seating is great for both Indoor and outdoor. I specially like to sit in the balcony from where you can check the vibrant Souq wakif while enjoying the food and great service.

Layali Al Qahira in Souq Waqif is an excellent place to enjoy some of the best Egyptian delicacies. The place looks pristine. The guests who prefer air conditioning choose the inner dining area, others who prefer the outdoors scatter themselves in the verandahs on the two floor or the street seating area at the entry to the restaurant. It is also among the most popular Seesha places in Doha. Weekends are full and require advance booking of tables. The staff is extremely friendly, prompt and efficient. I love the place and make trip on most weekends to this quaint eatery with character, great taste and value for money.

Nice cafe in the heart of the old souk. We had amazing service (potentially because I was with a group of Egyptians). Super attentive to making sure shisha coals were replenished and that we were comfortable. Nice felafels and the hazelnut coffee is also worth a try.

Worst service ever. Very rude staaff. Food tasted bad and they made us pay for it even when we didn’t eat.

We came here for a short lunch, service was quick but I have had much better chicken shawarma and fattoush salad in the souq. Price is very reasonable. Service is fine. Probably not somewhere I would visit often.

Great restaurant with a wide variety of regional food. We sat outside and had a perfect view on the lively street at the edge of the Souq. The meals are large, authentic and prices are very moderate. Shisha and tea after the meal were very enjoyable. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive - I can certainly recommend this restaurant
